Beautiful and sad. It reminded me of 'The Lions of Al-Rassan', by Guy Gavriel Kay, because of the epic battle between friends. I absolutely loved that book. Beautiful when people fight for self-governance, sad when others fight for power. But so common among humans.

That was an awful poem, in the correct and ancient sense of the word.

Thank you for the tips on how the names sound. The reader of poetry has to be active and sound the words in his thoughts as he reads.

I enjoyed this immensely.

Chuck Dixon has me reading a lot of Conan, and this was pitch perfect, and at the right time.

Thank you! I'm happy to have my poetry mentioned in the same sentence as the great Chuck Dixon.
